About Gearbulk
In 1968, Norway’s Kristian Gerhard Jebsen established Gearbulk with three partners. Today we operate the world’s largest fleet of open hatch gantry crane and semi-open jib crane vessels.
DEDICATED TO EXCELLENCE
We have a proud history of transporting cargoes that require special handling and stowage, such as pulp, aluminium, orange juice or granite, including conventional bulk.
The decks of our open hatch ships – the world’s largest fleet – are perfectly suited for project cargo. Their box-shaped holds with wide hatch openings offer efficient stowage and safe transport, and our onboard gantry and jib cranes speed up loading and discharge.
Each year our ships make thousands of port calls in more than 70 countries across five continents. Our terminals and logistics services take our dedication to detail right through the supply chain. And our people, ashore and onboard, make it all happen.
Our business
As a global shipping business, we support a wide range of industries with high quality transportation services through our various companies and joint ventures.
Our Vision, Mission & Values
Everything we do at Gearbulk is based on our core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, compassion and courage. Together they are the engine driving our business, guiding our actions every day. It’s through living the values that we are able to deliver on our mission and, ultimately, achieve our vision.
